Every trek slot you care about, on one board

The forest department portal shows you one trek, on one date, at a time. Aranya shows every trek you follow across the next 30 days of weekends — in a single screen that updates itself.

⚠️ Unofficial. Not affiliated with the Karnataka Forest Department. Aranya only shows availability — you still book on the official portal.
The problem

Checking six treks for one weekend takes about forty clicks

And the answer is stale by the time you've finished, so you start again.

On the portal

For every single trek, for every single date
  1. Choose the district
  2. Choose the trek
  3. Pick the date
  4. Read the seat count
  5. Go back and change one thing
  6. Repeat
6 treks × 8 weekend dates = 48 separate lookups

On Aranya

All of it at once, refreshing on its own
  • Pick your treks once
  • Open the board
  • Read the whole month across every trek
  • Sold out fades back, open seats stand out
  • A bar shows how fast a slot is filling
6 treks × 8 weekend dates = one screen
The board

Your treks down the side, the weekends across the top

Open slots are tinted green with the seats remaining. Sold out is deliberately quiet — it's the boring answer, so it gets out of your way.

What you get

Everything included for ₹99

📋

The weekend board

Every trek you follow, every Saturday and Sunday in the booking window, with live seat counts and a bar showing how full each slot is.

🗓️

Full month calendar

Any single trek, day by day across a whole month — including weekdays, for groups that don't travel at the weekend.

📌

Pinned dates

Watching one specific departure? Pin that trek and date and it stays at the top of your board.

🔄

Updates itself

The board refreshes on its own while it's open. No reloading, no re-navigating the portal.

📱

Works on your phone

The same board on mobile, which is where you'll actually check it when a client asks whether a date is still open.

🎨

Yours to arrange

Reorder treks, group by district, switch the window between 7, 14 and 30 days, and adjust the type size and theme.

How it works

Three steps

1

Pick your treks

Choose from the full catalogue of treks on the portal. Add or remove them whenever you like.

2

Watch the board

Availability for all of them, side by side, across the whole booking window.

3

Book on the official portal

When you see what you need, you book it on the forest department's own site. Aranya never takes a trek booking or a trek payment.

Pricing

Where this is going

One place for everything trekking in Karnataka

The slot board is the first piece. The plan is to connect the people a trek actually depends on. None of the following is built yet, and none of it is included in the ₹99 today — it's here so you know the direction.

Planned

Homestays & their rates

Where your group sleeps the night before, with prices, in the same place you checked the slots.

Planned

Transport operators

Tempo travellers and jeeps that actually run those routes, with the operators who know them.

Exploring

Organiser listings

A way for trekkers to find the organisers running a departure, rather than the other way round.

Exploring

Working with the department

If there's an official route to doing this properly, we'd rather take it than scrape a public page.

Questions

Straight answers

Is this the official Karnataka Forest Department site?

No. Aranya is independent and unofficial, with no affiliation to or endorsement from the Forest Department. The official portal is aranyavihaara.karnataka.gov.in and that is where all trek bookings and payments happen.

Can I book a trek through Aranya?

No, and that's deliberate. Aranya only shows you what the portal is already showing publicly, gathered into one view. You book on the official portal. The ₹99 is for access to the board, and buys nothing on the portal itself.

Will it alert me when a slot opens?

No. Bookings open at a fixed time that everyone already knows, and this portal doesn't cancel or re-release tickets — so there's no surprise moment worth alerting on. Aranya is a board you check, not a race you win. Anyone selling you alerts for this is selling you something that doesn't help.

How current are the numbers?

The board re-checks continuously and shows when it last updated. It reads the portal's own public pages, so if the portal is slow, wrong or down, the board reflects that. Always confirm on the official portal before promising a seat to a client.

What happens after 30 days?

Access simply stops. There's no auto-renew and no subscription to cancel — nothing is charged again unless you choose to pay again. Your trek list is kept, so it's all still there when you come back.

How do I pay?

Create an account, confirm your email, and pay ₹99 online by UPI, card, net banking or wallet through Razorpay. Access switches on the moment the payment is confirmed, and a receipt is emailed to you.

Can I share my login with my team?

An account is for one person. There's a limit on how many devices can watch the board at once, and heavy sharing may get an account suspended. If you need several people on it, get in touch and we'll work something out.

Ready to stop clicking?

Create an account, pick your treks, and see the whole month at once.
